Men Volleyball European Championship 1989 Qualification - 8 teams from 18

First 2 teams from each Group qualified to main tournament Men 1989. Soviet Union (4.), France (5.), Greece (10.) and Sweden (2.) pre-qualified as best 4 from Eurovelley Men 1987.

From this qualification Italy won Eurovolley 1989 and Netherlands earned Bronze Medals.
